3. Installing your water tank level sensor and sensor hub

NOTE: If installing multiple Sensor Hubs, complete installation of the module with the best line of site to the WiFi Adapter first. Repeat these steps for each sensor and Sensor Hub that you are installing.

3.1 Select a suitable location on your water tank to mount the Sensor Hub that is:

•North facing in direct sunlight •Above the maximum water level

•Has line of sight to other Sensor Hubs and/or the WiFi Adapter.

3.2 Make a 32mmhole for the Water Tank Level Sensor.

3.3 Using the bracket as your guide, align the notches to the edge of the hole, mark the screw holes at each corner – this way the bracket will cover the hole when installed.

3.4 If mounting to a plastic tank, you may want to drill smaller pilot holes now. If mounting to a concrete tank, drill and install the 6mmnylon anchors supplied in the mounting hardware kit to the tank.

3.5 Reconnect the antenna to the Sensor Hub.

3.6 Reconnect the Water Tank Level Sensor cable to the Sensor Hub. The unit will beep twice and the power LED will come on.

3.7 Locate the sliding grommet on the Water Tank Level Sensor cable and slide this to the Sensor Hub connector end of the cable.

3.8 Ensure the Water Tank Level Sensor is connected
to the Sensor Hub and feed the Water Tank Level Sensor and the remaining cable into the tank.

3.9 Slide the Water Tank Level Sensor cable grommet into the slot on the base of the mounting bracket. Don’t bend the cable too tightly, minimum radius 100mm.

3.10 Screw the mounting bracket to the tank using the screws provided in the mounting hardware kit.

3.11 Slide Sensor Hub on to the secured mounting bracket.

3.12 Check the Network LED, if it is on it has successfully communicated with the WiFi Adapter. If it is not on,
it may take up to 15 minutes for the Sensor Hub
to synchronise to the network. If the power LED is not on, tap the network button to wake up the LED’s.
